This letter comes to you while we are in the heart of the Sacred Triduum (Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday) and Easter Sunday, these most holy days when the full expression of Jesus’ love for you was enacted in Jerusalem, and is made alive still through the Spirit and the Church.
This is, of course, a Holy Week unlike which any of us have experienced. But that is the beauty of our faith, and our liturgies – that they respond and speak to whatever is happening in our personal lives and in the world around us. We face our own trials and sufferings, but most importantly, those who die with Him also rise with Him!
On a practical note, I encourage you to check out our YouTube page at “St. Paul’s Harvard Square” (be sure to Subscribe and like us on Facebook) and to see our parish website for up to date information. There you can join us live for the Easter Vigil at 8:00pm on Saturday and at 11:00am for Easter Sunday Mass. Our Holy Thursday and Good Friday liturgies are also available on our YouTube channel for viewing.
So that we can continue to serve the parish well in these days and those to come, I also encourage you to go to our parish website to see the best ways to help the parish financially, both through the emergency “90 Days Now - For Your Parish Initiative,” and by signing up for electronic giving. Not easy to bring this up during these most sacred days, but necessary, nonetheless.
Please pray for our 26 RCIA candidates. Though we have to delay the sacraments for which they have so wonderfully prepared and desired, they remain in our hearts in a particular way.
Know of our prayers for you and all your loved ones.
